Introduction
On the August long weekend, the Manitoba Orienteering Association will host the 2013 Western Canadian Orienteering Championships. A weekend of Sprint races in Winnipeg and the Sass Peepre Training Camp for Juniors and Adults will be held in conjunction with the championships.
The championships will be held in Spruce Woods Provincial Park on the Hog's Back map, which was the site of the 2009 Canadian Orienteering Championships. The Sass Peepre Training Camp for Juniors and Adults will be held nearby in Glenboro and will use other areas of Spruce Woods Provincial Park.
Updates
June 10: Traditionally, the Sass Peepre Training Camp has been for Juniors only. This camp is breaking with tradition to welcome adults, as well as juniors, on a one-time basis. Juniors are expected to register as full-time participants. Adults can choose between the full-time option and a drop-in option. Please read the information on the camp webpage, as well as the detailed information which can be downloaded from that page.
July 7: The event booklet will be posted soon. In the meantime, course lengths are now available here.
July 14: Booklet still in progress. Some course data have changed (see link above). Also, the Sass Peepre Camp has moved to Kiche Manitou Campground and the WCOC Model event site is now open on Friday as well as Saturday.
July 17: The event booklet (Competitor Handbook) is now available for download.
July 19: The Sprint Weekend now has a WhyJustRun page, which you can use to register for the Sprint Weekend if you didn't already do so through Zone4.
July 22: Updated the Google Map on the home page and added a link to another Google Map for the Sprint Weekend.
July 30: The Sprint Weekend results are now posted (see Results link on the left). The WCOC start lists should be posted soon.

The O-Store is excited to be coming to Manitoba for the Western Canadian Orienteering Championships. Our range of orienteering gear has expanded from last year and we look forward to offering everyone a chance to browse through our display and see if there is anything of interest to you. We hope there is!
