The Festival was a Success!
Thank you to all the competitors and volunteers who made this event a huge success. The festival consisted of 8 orienteering events, the Sass Peepre Junior Training Camp, COF Conference & AGM, Banquets, and High Performance Program fundraising. For full results, pictures, and feedback from participants, see the links on the left.
Introduction
In August 2009, the Manitoba Orienteering Association will host both the Western Canadian Orienteering Championships and the Canadian Orienteering Championships. The Sass Peepre Junior Training Camp, COF Conference & AGM, and several fun events will be held in conjunction with the championships.
The WCOCs will take place in the Lauder Sandhills near Hartney, MB. The COCs will take place in Spruce Woods Provincial Park on a new map called Hog's Back.
The COC Sprint and COC Long will be World Ranking Events.
Competitor Handbook
The Competitor Handbook is now available for download in two
formats:
Web Version (845 KB PDF file) and
Print Version (1669 KB PDF file)
If viewing the handbook on a computer, select the web version. The handbook will be included in each registration package, but if you want to print an extra copy, select the print version and print on 8.5 x 11 inch paper, in landscape with short-edge binding. To view or print the handbook, you need a PDF viewer such as Adobe Reader.
The Competitor Handbook has officially replaced much of the original information on this website.
